Cabin Update

UPDATED SIDING PHOTOS AT THE BOTTOM...

As we near winter, and the cabin project is getting close to being put to bed for the season, I thought I'd share a couple of photos of the progress we've made this summer.

So that's where we are right now... still waiting for the flaky siding installers to come up and install our dark red metal siding. The cabin will actually winter fine without it, but it would be nice to have the wrap protected from the winds and snow/water intrusion over the winter.

Stay tuned next spring, when we 1) complete rough-in electrical wiring 2) Framing inspection 3) Insulate the cabin 4) Finish a bathroom and bedroom in the basement 4) Hopefully start finishing the main level.

Final 2009 Update!!! Siding is installed!

  1. Our little blog is all grown up now...with four official posts!! I'm so proud of us.

Dad I love the picture chronology of the cabin...it is amazing to see how much you did in just one summer. Also I can't believe those people STILL haven't put up the siding. There is just one thing missing from your picture post though...me. :) I think I was pretty helpful at the times I was there right? Like remember how I painted 2 doors for you? It's ok. I'll find a picture and add it later to prove it. Love you!

  2. I LOVE IT! Soooo exciting! I can't wait to see the finished product and how much fun is it that you all get to work on it together and each put a little blood, sweat, and tears into it...makes it that much better!
